Luis Tareke Ortiz Cisneros is a prominent professional in the field of music and ethnomusicological research.
His interVocal project, focused on collective music creation to support migrants, has taken place in contexts of feminist and sexodiverse activism in several Latin American and U.S. countries, focusing on language rights and the prevention of gender-based violence.
Ortiz has composed music for bilingual choirs of Indigenous children and migrant youth, and in 2019, he organized the First Sexodiverse Forum of Totonacapan, promoting the visibility of the Indigenous 2SLGBTTTIQ+ community.
His work has been presented at international arts festivals in more than 20 countries, including the Stratford Festival in Canada, the Celebrate Mexico Now Festival in New York, and the Escena Contemporánea Festival in Madrid.
