MARCELLO LARA
Independent
I've spent 30 years building artists and repertoire in Latin America's most competitive music market, from both sides of the glass. As an executive, I've led A&R at BMG Mexico (most recently as Senior Director of A&R), Warner Music, Universal, and Sony, signing and developing talent across pop, rock, regional Mexican, and urban genres, and structuring deals ranging from new releases to catalog strategies. Before that, I spent nine years as General Manager of Reactor 105.7, taking a fledgling public radio station to become Mexico City's number one rock station. As an artist, I'm a founding member of Moderatto, one of Latin America's longest-running and most established rock bands (2001–2024). That was two decades of touring, releasing music, and negotiating from the artist's perspective. Today, I advise record labels and platforms on A&R strategy, repertoire, and market entry in Mexico and Latin America, and I've built my own digital audience as a content creator.
